Workshop “Decentral Databases for Logistics in the Medical and Health Care Industry” with Tec4med on December 5, 2019, in Frankfurt

The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and Tec4med are offering a hands-on workshop on the topic “Decentral Databases for Logistics in the Medical Industry” on December 5, 2019, in Frankfurt. If you are interested and would like to participate, the next paragraphs will give you further information. If you want to apply as a participant, please fill out the application form (5 minutes).

What is the content of the workshop?

Currently, the data of the logistics chain is managed centrally by the main contractor. However, logistics consists of many smaller units that interact with each other and forward goods and data. This is currently done partly via the central database of the main contractor with many media discontinuities as a source of errors. Here we think a decentralized solution could minimize errors and enable new use cases.

We are planning a hands-on-workshop for blockchain enthusiasts and people who are interested in making a contribution to the blockchain sector. Basic blockchain knowledge is required in order to participate in the discussions.

If this topic is of interest to you and you would like to contribute to EU policies and regulations for blockchain sign up below and join the discussion in our workshop. The results will be added to an EU report for our Blockchers project and presented in front of the EU to improve and reform EU policies.

Blockchers is a new Horizon 2020 project which will facilitate the revolution of distributed ledger technologies, DLTs, across European SMEs. We are managing a fund of 750,000€ aimed at financing real-world use cases across the EU of blockchain technologies in traditional sectors. We are monitoring constraints, issues, and difficulties SMEs are facing through the implication process of blockchain solutions. Read more here: www.blockchers.eu

About Tech4med

Tec4med is a young and innovative company that disrupts the logistics market with the latest IoT technology. They redefine how intelligent and networked tracking will look today and in the future. Their intelligent and active cooling solution NelumBox has revolutionized patient-centered clinical studies and the transport of temperature-sensitive drugs.

The NelumBox opens up completely new care concepts for patients by enabling transport to the patient and storage of medication at the patient’s home in a safe and easily accessible environment for the first time. With their latest project — the SmartHub — they are developing the most advanced tracking solution for everyday logistics. The intelligent hub-beacon system enables a completely new kind of real-time monitoring of all relevant parameters at box/pallet/container/truck/aircraft level.
