Workshop “Self-Sovereign Identity” on October 16, 2019 in Frankfurt

The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and esatus AG are offering a hands-on workshop all around the topic of self-sovereign identity (SSI) on October 16, 2019, in Frankfurt. If you are interested and would like to participate, the next paragraphs will give you further information. If you want to apply as a participant, please fill out the application form (5 minutes).

What is the content of the workshop?

Revolutionizing digital identity — opportunities through self-sovereign identity based on blockchain technology. On the Internet, there is no easy way to check who you are or pretend to be. Imagine banks, governments, hospitals, and others having a reliable way to verify your personal information in a way that you control. This is possible with self-sovereign identity — an open, decentralized network designed for controllable, trusted and easy-to-use digital identities. We are planning a hands-on-workshop for blockchain enthusiasts and people who are interested in making a contribution to the blockchain sector. Basic blockchain knowledge is required in order to participate in the discussions. If this topic is of interest to you, then please sign up below and join the discussion in our workshop. The results will be added to the report for the so-called Blockchers project, a EU-funded project. This report will be presented to the European Commission.

Blockcherss is an EU-funded project (Horizon 2020) which seeks to foster the adotion of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) across European SMEs. Blockchers is managing a fund of 750,000€ aimed at financing real-world use cases across the EU of blockchain technologies in traditional sectors. Who is leading the workshop?

Sebastian Weidenbach, Head of Technical Consulting & Solutions at esatus AG, has more than 7 years of professional experience in the field of information security. He is an expert for Identity & Access solutions and leads the internal development team for Self-Sovereign Identity.

Carsten Eichhöfer, Head of Business Consulting at esatus AG, has more than 5 years of professional experience in the field of corporate development. He is part of the internal development team for Self-Sovereign Identity and supports customers in questions concerning information security.
