Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and ifb group strengthen partnership
Frankfurt am Main, August 23, 2022 — Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and ifb group strengthen partnership for a digital future in finance: The successful cooperation between Frankfurt School’s Blockchain Center and ifb has now been further enhanced by a partnership agreement.
Digitalization is having a disruptive impact on the established business models of banks and financial service providers and is inspiring further new business models in the financial sector. The tokenization of assets, CBDCs and digital identity management are just three keywords that describe important trends in the coming years.
In order to successfully modernize existing business models and develop sustainable business models, sound knowledge of distributed ledger technology and its legal as well as regulatory requirements is essential. Since 2021, ifb has been successfully collaborating with the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. Together, they have created the “Digital Assets“ seminar series. This 12-day seminar series is specifically designed for directors and senior executives of banks and capital management companies as well as all decision-makers interested in blockchain technology.
The previous successful cooperation will now be further enhanced by a partnership agreement between ifb group and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. We look forward to a continuous cooperation.
The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center is a think tank and research center which investigates implications of the blockchain technology, crypto assets and distributed ledger technology (DLT) for companies and their business models. The partnership will bundle academic as well as practical insights into DLT technology in the banking and finance world in order to be able to offer even better services.
Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner, Head of FSBC, commented on the partnership: “Since 2021, we here at the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center have already demonstrated the synergy achieved by combining our core competencies in the area of blockchain research with ifbs’ expertise in the fields of digitalization, banking, and insurance by organizing a Seminar, preparing industry leaders and executives for a DLT-enabled business environment. Now, we are extremely pleased to announce that we plan on deepening this cooperation to further explore exciting developments, such as those in the areas of CBDCs, asset tokenization, and business model innovation.”
