Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and Capco enter into partnership

Frankfurt am Main - March 01, 2021 - Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and Capco have entered into a partnership. Capco is a leading global management and technology consultancy dedicated to the financial services and energy industries. Due to today’s era of constant disruption, Capco seeks for blockchain development, a strong digital presence, data-rich solutions, and customer-driven innovation.

The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center is a think tank and research center which investigates implications of the blockchain technology, crypto assets and distributed ledger technology (DLT) for companies and their business models. The partnership will bundle academic as well as practical insights into DLT technology in the banking and finance world in order to be able to offer even better services.

Capco operates at the intersection of business and technology, by combining innovative thinking with unrivalled industry knowledge to fast-track digital initiatives for banking and payments, capital markets, wealth and asset management, insurance, and the energy sector. The rapid growth of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is not slowing down - in fact, a whole new market has emerged: This “tokenisation market” is currently being conquered primarily by fintechs with flexible business models for transfers of coins and tokens as a commodity or means of payment.

Capco partner Carsten Hahn, initiator of the cooperation, emphasizes: “We are looking forward to the cooperation with great anticipation. As a team, we have been working on innovative projects based on blockchain technology for quite some time. Thanks to our new partner, we have the opportunity to make knowledge and ideas available to customers even faster. Together, we will consistently develop these further. The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center is one of the leading addresses in Europe in the field of developing business models around the technology. We are looking forward to the joint cooperation and are sure that through the exchange we will be able to deliver an excellent and highly innovative advisory service for our clients.”

Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner, Head of FSBC, commented on the partnership: “With Capco, we are gaining a valuable partner from the world of business and finance. Capco’s consultants have been working on the potentials and fields of application of blockchain for years. The team has excellent know-how of the technology and a deep understanding of the disruptive potentials. For us, close contact with business practice is an important element of our work. Together, we will accompany projects around blockchain and help to better communicate the possibilities of the new technology. I am very much looking forward to the cooperation.”.
