Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and Ava Labs to educate German financial institutions about Avalanche

Frankfurt am Main, February 06, 2024 — We are delighted to announce our newest educational partnership with Ava Labs, a software developer of the Avalanche blockchain.

This partnership combines Avalanche’s legacy in decentralized finance and FSBC’s blockchain research and innovation within the Web3 Talents programs, Frankfurt School’s stakeholders and the German financial institution landscape. Together, we aim to empower them to understand and use high-performing, compliant blockchains for innovation and efficiency.

Blockchains consist of tamper-proof data to be permanently recorded and distributed on digital networks, while also facilitating financial and social innovations, and ensuring secure and fast exchange of value and assets such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Our mutual goal is to actively shape the financial industry’s future, and to contribute to the development of best practices in the market. In this partnership, FSBC will assist Ava Labs in educating its stakeholders about the possibilities that Avalanche adds to the financial industry. We are confident that this collaboration will drive transformative advancements and shape the future of the digital finance ecosystem.

Frankfurt School Blockchain Center is a think tank and research center, which investigates implications of the blockchain technology, crypto assets and distributed ledger technology (DLT) for companies and their business models. The partnership will bundle academic as well as practical insights into DLT technology in the banking and finance world in order to be able to offer even better services.

Avalanche is a smart contracts platform that scales infinitely and regularly finalizes transactions in less than one second. Its novel consensus protocol, Subnet architecture, and HyperSDK toolkit enable Web3 developers to easily launch powerful, custom blockchain solutions — EVM-based and beyond. Creating these eco-friendly and specialized blockchains enables institutions to achieve regulatory compliance, independence and efficiency.

Martin Eckardt, Senior Developer Relations Engineer, at Ava Labs, said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC), marking a strategic collaboration to introduce the cutting-edge solutions of the Avalanche blockchain network to German financial institutions. Our shared objective is to empower these institutions in achieving their goals of launching high-performant and compliant blockchain solutions. Leveraging Avalanche, they can seamlessly create custom app-specific blockchains, unlocking new possibilities for innovation and efficiency in the evolving landscape of finance and beyond.”

The technology of Avalanche unlocks substantial opportunities for efficiency and compliance gains across industries. We are excited to be able to call Avalanche our partner and anticipate a joint adoption of these innovative technologies. Our partnership aims to educate financial institutions into gaining the ability to implement blockchain technology independently and to develop new fields of application and products based on Avalanche. This announcement is an exciting moment for the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, as it opens up new opportunities to accelerate the adoption of Blockchain in Europe!”
